Results and Impact

- Enhanced Digital Storytelling Skills: Through the International Round Table, five online workshops and the international webinar, more than 347 direct participants developed practical competences in digital storytelling, social media communication, audience engagement and online visibility strategies for social enterprises and NGOs. Participant evaluations demonstrated very high satisfaction (4.4–4.72 out of 5) and a Net Promoter Score of +81, confirming the strong practical relevance and quality of the educational activities. Participants reported increased confidence in presenting their initiatives online, communicating social impact and using storytelling to engage clients, partners and communities..
- Increased Visibility: Dissemination and communication activities reached more than 39,555 entrepreneurs, adult educators, researchers and sustainability-oriented stakeholders across the EU. The project website attracted 1,485 visitors, while educational materials and project outputs generated 1,194 downloads and views, demonstrating continued engagement with the project results beyond the direct activities. The project also reached new audiences including researchers, universities and communication professionals interested in sustainability and inclusive digital education.
- Advancement of Sustainability Goals: The project strengthened communication capacities of sustainable and socially responsible initiatives by demonstrating how digital storytelling can increase awareness of environmental and social challenges. Several participant initiatives focused on circular economy, low-waste production and sustainable community practices. One participant developed communication strategies for a circular-economy initiative producing handmade felt footwear from discarded sheep wool, while other participants applied storytelling methods to sustainable food practices and environmentally conscious entrepreneurship. The project therefore contributed to increasing the visibility and public engagement of sustainability-oriented business models and social initiatives.
- Economic Empowerment of Vulnerable Groups: The project generated particularly strong impact among migrants and displaced Ukrainian professionals. Approximately 45% of direct participants came from migrant and displaced communities, while around 60% of participants were women. The project supported participants in rebuilding professional visibility, entrepreneurial activities and social participation through digital communication competences and networking opportunities. Several participants applied project competences to develop consulting initiatives, educational platforms and sustainable entrepreneurial activities supporting vulnerable communities and migrant integration.
- Cross-border Collaboration: The partnership between the Netherlands and Bulgaria created valuable opportunities for exchange of practices, intercultural dialogue and international networking. Participants and partner organisations shared experiences related to sustainable entrepreneurship, adult education, inclusion and digital communication in different national contexts. The cooperation combined Dutch expertise in sustainability, inclusion and social entrepreneurship with Bulgarian experience in dissemination, community engagement and adult education methodologies, resulting in stronger educational materials and broader international outreach
- Setting a benchmark: By disseminating the project results through workshops, webinars, online platforms, participant stories, EPALE and professional networks, the project contributed to wider European discussions on digital transformation, sustainability communication and inclusive adult education. The project demonstrated that storytelling-based methodologies can effectively support sustainable entrepreneurship, social innovation and inclusion of vulnerable groups. The strong dissemination results, participant engagement and long-term application of project competences established the project as a valuable example of how digital storytelling can be used to scale the social impact of sustainable and community-oriented initiatives across Europe.
