How do we make sure the stories behind our projects truly matter—not only to the people we support, but also to the partners, funders, and communities we hope to engage? As organisations dedicated to empowering people, supporting vulnerable groups, and driving positive change, learning to communicate clearly and confidently is essential. This is especially true in Erasmus+ and other EU-funded initiatives, where strong storytelling about impact contributes to successful applications and long-term sustainability.
To explore this important topic, we hosted an international webinar “Digital Storytelling for Social Impact” on 3 December 2025, bringing together social entrepreneurs, educators, and change makers from across Europe.
What We Explored
Our expert speakers shared a diverse set of insights, hands-on approaches, and real-world examples:
- What digital storytelling is and why it matters
Presented by Prof. Dr. Liliya Terzieva, EDF (Bulgaria)
We looked at how narrative can strengthen community engagement, shape public perception, and amplify voices that often remain unheard. - Stories that created measurable impact
Presented by Dr. Anna Fenko, FENAN (Netherlands)
Participants learned how impact metrics can become part of your storytelling that help transform audiences into supporters and collaborators. - How to craft impactful narratives using personal experience
Presented by Anika Brain, PlaySEND (Spain)
This session demonstrated how authentic personal experience of a parent or a mingrat can become a powerful element in your storytelling that can lead to social change. - Digital and AI tools for impactful communication
Presented by Alex Brain, EdTech Entrepreneur (Spain)
A practical look into innovative AI tools that help teams create engaging content—even without a professional media background and low budget. - Learning from practice: voices from ongoing projects
Shared by Maya Zupnik (Netherlands) & Max Mencl (Bulgaria)
Participants reflected on current initiatives, barriers, and opportunities in digital communication. - Networking and collaboration opportunities
Facilitated by Anja Tjallema, ATTR (Netherlands)
We wrapped up with sharing resources and platforms for participants to connect, exchange best practices, and discuss future partnerships.

Digital storytelling has become one of the most powerful methods to show the value of our work—whether through short videos, interactive content, personal narratives, or social media campaigns. It helps funders, policymakers, and communities see the human impact behind our actions.
This webinar was not just about learning new tools—it was about strengthening a network of dedicated professionals who are shaping a more inclusive and socially responsible Europe.
🤝 Looking Ahead
We are grateful to all speakers and participants for making this session inspiring and practical. We look forward to continuing this conversation, exploring new digital communication strategies, and building stronger collaborations in the future.
